Welcome.

What is Caldwell Prison Ministry, Inc?

The Caldwell Prison Ministry, Inc. is a nonprofit Christian Organization that exists fore the sole purpose of providing a ministry, for, and with the inmates, of the Caldwell  Correctional Center, their families, and  Center Staff.  The Ministry is overseen by a volunteer Board of Directors who meet monthly in order to direct the course of the ministry.  Members and officers who make up the Board are godly men and women dedicated to the task of changing lives.

What does the Ministry do?

Caldwell Prison Ministry, Inc. employs a full time Chaplain whose desire and desire and purpose are to minister to the spiritual needs of each inmate, his family, and the center staff.  The Chaplain conducts and schedules four services a week and also coordinates a Monday night Bible study.  The Chaplain provides one-on-one counseling, prayer, encouragement, and friendship.  The Ministry’s fervent desire is to break the continuing cycle of arrest and release.

Behind Prison Walls

The inmates within the walls of Caldwell Correctional Center are ordinary people with families.  Inmates experience depression, loneliness, and a sense of helplessness.  Many have been victims of child abuse, broken homes or drug and alcohol related problems.  They deserve to be punished for their crimes, but they also need to learn that the love of Jesus Christ is powerful enough to give them a new life and a change of direction.

When an inmate receives  prison sentence, his family also receives a sentence.  They have lost their provider, husband and father. They suffer and struggle to make ends meet.

Is Rehabilitation Possible?

YES!All things are possible through Jesus Christ and rehabilitation begins with Him.

Many inmates take the first serious look at their life while in prison.  They see their need for a Savior for the first time.  Jesus said, “Ye shall know truth, and the truth shall make you free’. He added “I am the way, the truth, and the life; no man cometh to the Father, but by me.”

When the inmate hears these words of freedom spoken by Jesus and responds in faith, his true rehabilitation begins.  the apostle Paul said “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ; for it is the power of God unto salvation to every that believes”.

Jesus Christ is the key to rehabilitation

Who meets The Needs?

Donations, which are overseen by the Board, come from individuals, businesses, churches, foundations, and trusts.  Our ministry receives no funds from federal, state or county governments.  The sole support is from those who care. As Paul wrote to the saints at Phillipi;  We desire not so much your gift, but the fruit which will result from it. Not because I desire a gift: but I desire fruit that may abound to your account…a sacrifice acceptable, well pleasing to God”. (Phil. 4:17-18)

We trust that the fruit of your giving will be men who will return to your community with a strong foundation in Jesus Christ upon which to build a strong foundation in Jesus Christ
